After-school routine

What can you expect from an afternoon at the After-school care?

When children arrive at out-of-school care, they are allowed a healthy snack and a quiet drink first, just like at home. Think of a cracker, fresh fruit or a rice cake with healthy spreads.

Then we ask the children if they want to participate in an outdoor activity or just play inside.
You can imagine that after a full day at school the children want to relax and play inside.

Outdoor games

Our after-school children play in our garden every day. They also regularly visit Westbroekpark and the nearby petting zoo.

Duration of collection

At the end of the day, children are picked up from 4 p.m. onward. Children who stay longer join the other children from 5 p.m. onwards. In this way, children of different nationalities can come together in the group. In this case, our teaching staff is responsible for speaking English with them.

Why Comme a la maison

We are not the only out-of-school care in The Hague or Scheveningen, but we are unique in our concept: as the only one in The Hague we offer a minimum of three days of care per week. This guarantees continuity and stability for the children.

Beautiful location in La Haye-Scheveningen. A familiar, small-scale and welcoming environment. So you can discover the world in safety and confidence.


Natural social development: you learn by playing with other children. In our home, the children play outside a lot and we take many trips. We also provide space to do homework and/or chores.


Our half-English, half-French after-school group consists of children ages 3 to 11 and accommodates up to 9 children. We are very internationally oriented and our children come from many different countries. We work with permanent staff, with no temps.


Healthy snacks, delicious organic food, lots of fruit (included in the price).
