After-school routine

What to expect

When the children from the after-school group arrive at House by the park, they first take a break and enjoy something to eat like a cracker, cookie, fruit and some drink.

Then we ask them whether they want to engage in activities and do something spontaneous.

After-school children are involved in being at our playground every day at set times. They also regularly visit the Westbroek Park or the educational farm nearby or they walk to the beach.

At the end of the day, children from the after-school group, who are yet to be picked up by their parents, join the toddler group. Accordingly, Dutch-, English- and French-speaking children find themselves mixed in one group. In such case our pedagogical staff has the instruction to speak English with them.
