House by the park goes French

Come the new school year, House by the park (House by the park) will be giving more attention to French speakers!

Despite our very French name, we have always served the international community so our child care services have always operated in English and Dutch. But over the last few years, given our proximity to the French school and the fact that so many French speaking families live in the area, we have received an increasing number of requests for child care services in French.

We took these requests seriously and created a French language after-school group, which is getting more and more popular. We are now seeing a rising demand for services for younger children. To meet this demand we are in the process of starting a French language group for children aged 1,5 to 4.

To this end, we have started the initial recruitment process for 4 mother tongue French child care professionals. If you happen to know anyone that fits this description, please let us know. And do not hesitate to share this news!

In the meantime, please note that we have a few places available in our French speaking after school group and that registrations for the new French language daycare group are open. It is our intention to start this group by September.

At present, not everybody at House by the park speaks French. Our most commonly spoken language remains English. But we will soon be offering a French language section on our website to meet the information needs of our French speaking parents.
